Warm temperatures are increasing the threat of wet avalanches. You will need to start early and end before surface crusts melt. With marginal nighttime freezes, the window to recreate may be very short or non-existent.

Stay well back from cornices as these warm temperatures can make them more prone to failure, either naturally or by a person getting too close to the cornice. These large chunks of snow can be dangerous as they hit the slope and entrain snow below.
